This is a step by step sequence showing how I build up an illustration (sometimes) :)
Final
First I create the diffuse pass
...then the incandescent lights
...then ocean ambient light
...then caustics and light from the pool below
...next I make an ambient occlusion pass
...lastly I add the computer screens and buttons and hilights.
These are all combined before I add the linework.
